Single-Ply roofing and AcryPly Roof Systems both offer advanced capabilities and high performance solutions to the commercial roofing industry. Both products have a proven history of long-term durability, are cost-effective and offer excellent waterproofing capabilities. Manufacturing and application techniques is where these products differ.
Single-Ply roofing is pre-manufactured as a roll on roof membrane and is sold in multiple widths and lengths. These rolls are then laid across the roof field, glued or mechanically fastened to the roof substrate. Rarely do the widths of the single-ply roll accommodate a full roof therefore, requiring the rolls to be seam welded together to create a watertight roof membrane.
The AcryPly Roof System is a robust, custom system to meet the individual needs of each roof. These systems are brought to the rooftop in totes and pails of AcryShield base coat and top coat, and polyester fabric which gets embedded between the base and top coat for reinforcement and strength. The coatings are sprayed directly onto the roof, around penetrations, HVAC equipment, skylights, etc... to create a fully adhered, seamless, monolithic system across the entire roof field without any seams that can be prone to failure. The coatings offer excellent physical properties for strength, flexibility, durability and outstanding UV resistance for long-term performance.
