Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) roofing has had a long history of success for the past 40 plus years. This type of roofing substrate offers excellent waterproofing capabilities, insulation values, reflectivity, lower energy costs, lengthen roof lifespan with lowered roof maintenance, and custom tailored slope to accommodate your roofs’ particular needs.

The SPF is a two-component system of polymeric isocyanate "A-Component" and a water/Enovate 3000 (HCFC-245fa) blown "B-Component” which is spray applied onto the roof allowing roofing contractors to form custom slopes, to guide water to run into proper drainage areas, eliminating any ponded water issues. The spray application not only fills low spots on the roof but also fills gaps around roof penetrations and transitions for superior waterproofing.

SPF roofs (newly constructed and restoration projects) require the protection of a roof coating to shield the foam from early degradation. National Coatings offers several different coatings that provide superior reflectivity to block the suns UV rays from damaging the foam, allowing the SPF roofing system to properly function for a long time. Sprayed polyurethane foam (SPF) technology has been performing as an excellent means of insulation for over 50 years. When the polyurethane technology was first introduced, it was used as a barrier of heat and cold transfer in refrigerators. Since then, it has become a popular means of insulating a building, keeping the heat inside the building during cold months, and keeping the cool, air-conditioned air from escaping the building during the warm months.
