16 “Super-Compliant” Coating Products
16 of our roof coating products meet stringent standards related to air quality and low VOC requirements set by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD).
The SCAQMD is the agency responsible for regulating air pollution in the South Coast Air Basin, in southern California. The agency creates, adopts, and implements the Air Quality Management Plan, a regional blueprint for achieving air quality standards and healthful air, to bring the area into compliance with the clean air standards established by national and state governmental legislation.
Rule 1113 of the SCAQMD Rule Book limits the volatile organic content (VOC) of architectural coatings as they constitute the majority of area source emissions in the South Coast Air Basin. “Low-VOC” refers to coatings that meet the regulatory limits and “Super-Compliant” refers to coatings that are well below the regulatory limits – they meet the stringent VOC standard of <10 g/L. While National Coatings offers several “Low-VOC” coatings, they are most excited to announce their commitment to product stewardship and continued industry leadership by revealing they have 16 “Super-Compliant” coatings with VOC levels below 10 grams per liter.
