Challenge:
- Existing roof substrate was TPO which is historically hard to adhere to.
- Roof coating used in the mural required superior dirt pick-up resistance.
- Hot and humid weather conditions with mid-day storms required the use of a fast-setting roof coating to ensure
proper set-up and dry time.
- Roofing coating needed to be tinted to over 25 vibrant colors.
Solution:
- National Coatings’ products were chosen because of their superior ability to adhere to TPO membrane.
- National Coatings perfectly matched over 25 paint colors chosen by the artist.
- Quick Set AcryShield roof coating allowed the coating to set-up and skim within 30 minutes, ensuring the artist’s mural work would withstand an afternoon shower.
