3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

AcryShield® A502 is a one component, low VOC, water-borne base coating designed for application to Aged single-ply roofing membranes. 

A502 is the industry standard, high performance base coat for hard to coat surfaces such as Aged Hypalon, PVC, TPO, and EPDM roofing. 

A502 eliminates the need for costly replacement and pre-treating EPDM with a caustic solution before the coating is applied.

5. INSTALLATION

    • Use only with AcryShield approved products to ensure reliable performance.

    • Do not install as top coat.

    • Mix well before using. For drums: use a ¾ hp air-powered mixer with a 6" blade and shaft that will create a good vortex. For pails: use at least a 3" blade or a suitable hand mix paddle.
    • May be applied by spray, brush, or roller.

    • All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, oil, or other contaminants that would interfere with proper adhesion.

    • Apply at temperatures above 50°F.
    • Apply only when weather conditions will permit drying before rain, dew or freezing temperatures.

    • Cool temperatures and high humidity retard cure.

6. STORAGE

Store materials between 40ºF and 100ºF to prevent damage to products. Do not store at high temperatures or direct sunlight. Protect all materials from freezing during transit, handling, storage, and installation. Shelf life of 24 months if unopened containers stored between 40°F and 90°F and out of direct sunlight.

Various warranties are available for specific AcryShield Restoration Roofing Systems, AcryPly® Roofing Systems and AcryPly-D® Roofing Systems installed by approved applicators.

Periodic maintenance of AcryShield Roofing Systems and AcryPly Roofing Systemsensures extended performance and reduces life cycle costs.
