See table below.

5. INSTALLATION

  • May be applied by brush, trowel, putty knife or caulking gun.

  • All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, oil, or other contaminants that would interfere with proper adhesion.

  • If the depth of a joint exceeds ½ inch, use a dry, non-asphaltic back-up filler material.

  • Before curing, excess sealant can be removed with a damp cloth.  After curing, it may be cut or scraped away.

  • Apply at temperatures above 50ºF.

  • Apply only when weather conditions will permit drying before rain, dew or freezing temperatures.

  • Cool temperatures and high humidity retard cure.

  • For application details see specific Installation Guide Specifications.

  • Three course application method for applying Acryflex:
Over a clean and prepared substrate apply Acryflex with either brush or trowel at a rate of 20 square feet per gallon to the area to be repaired or reinforced. Immediately apply T-272 fabric to the wet material making sure to fully imbed the fabric while working out any voids or fishmouths in the fabric. Then apply another pass of Acryflex at 10-15 square feet per gallon completely encapsulating the fabric with the application. the finished repair/reinforcement should be approximately 1/6th-1/8th inch in thickness. After allowing fully cure, coat with Acryshield top coat to complete application.
