Hook up Procedures for Tankers, Totes & Drums of LiquiSeal™ Asphalt Emulsion

TANKERS:

A typical pump feed line should be a 2”-4” hose. Each end of the hose should have female cam-lock fittings/connectors on both ends. Tankers will have male cam-lock fittings/connectors. Normally the cam-lock fittings/connectors on a tanker or tote will be 4”. The contractor should have an adapter available if they are running a 2” feeder line in lieu of a 4” line.

TOTES:

Disposable totes do not have a cam-lock fitting attached to them. Contractors need to purchase a disposable ball valve when ordering their material from National Coatings. The disposable ball valve punctures through the plastic liner inside the tote. The disposable ball valve can be cleaned and reused for up to approximately 20 totes or more.

DRUMS:

A 2” sting, approximately 4-foot long, is used to connect to the feeder line. The stinger should have male cam-lock fittings/connectors on both ends. The stinger hooks up to the pump and is set inside the drum.
