National Coatings Corporation Introduces
New AcryShield® MB and High Reflectance Roof Coating Products

CAMARILLO, California – February 15, 2005 - National Coatings Corporation ( NCC ), a leading manufacturer of high performance, sustainable roof coating materials for commercial and industrial buildings, announces the release of two new breakthrough products: AcryShield® MB for coating modified bitumen and fresh asphalt surfaces, and AcryShield High Reflectance A590 with ultra-high solar reflectance properties.

AcryShield MB is the latest generation acrylic elastomeric roof coating engineered for superior adhesion to smooth APP modified bitumen and asphalt. It provides outstanding "bleed blocking" over hot asphalt and asphalt emulsion systems, and better resistance to ponded water. Formulated with the patented Lipacryl â polymer from Rohm & Haas, and using advanced AcryShield technology, AcryShield MB exceeds several ASTM D6083 requirements for critical properties such as tensile strength, elongation and weatherability.

AcryShield High Reflectance A590 is an ultra-high reflectance acrylic roof coating for use in National Coatings’ AcryShield or AcryPly ® Roofing Systems . Continuing the tradition of setting the highest standards, National Coatings has developed a breakthrough technology allowing the fluid applied coating industry to now have a product that has a reflectivity above 90 %. At 92% reflectivity, this product establishes a new benchmark for highly reflective roofing material.
