SPECIAL FIREFIGHTING PROCEDURES: For fires involving this material, do not enter any enclosed or confined space without proper protective gear, including self-contained breathing apparatus to protect against the hazardous effects of the normal products of combustion or oxygen deficiency.

SECTION  VI - SAFE HANDLING & USE INFORMATION

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Wear suitable respirator (MSHA/NIOSH approved or equivalent) where exposure limits are exceeded.
VENTILATION: Mechanical local exhaust ventilation at point of containment release.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Impervious for prolonged or repeated contact.
EYE PROTECTION: Chemical splash goggles (ANSI Z-87.1 or approved equivalent).

SECTION  VII - HEALTH HAZARD DATA

EFFECTS OF OVER EXPOSURE:
  • INHALATION: Vapor or mist can cause irritation of the nose, throat and lungs.
  • EYE & SKIN CONTACT: Slightly irritating to eyes with direct contact.
  • Skin Exposure: Irritating to skin with repeated or prolonged exposure.
EMERGENCY & FIRST AID PROCEDURES
  • INHALATION: Move subject to fresh air.
  • EYE & SKIN CONTACT: Flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.  See a physician if irritation persists.  Wash affected skin areas with soap and water.
  • INGESTION: If swallowed, dilute by giving two glasses of water to drink.  CALL A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY.

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED: Keep spectators away.  Floor may be slippery, use care to avoid falling.  Scoop or shovel solid material into a suitable container for recovery or disposal.  Keep spills out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHODS: Disposal should be in accordance with Federal, state, and local regulations
