California Lottery Hits Jackpot - Cool Roof Energy Savings Expected For Years
CAMARILLO , California – September 12, 2005 – California Lottery hits the jackpot by installing an AcryShield ® Cool Roof by National Coatings Corporation (NCC).
To solve the troublesome roof issues and numerous leaks they faced and to take advantage of significant energy savings related to installing a Cool Roof, the California Lottery looked to National Coatings to solve this challenge. Vince LaBruzzo, West Region Sales Manager for NCC, stated “We were sought out and selected for our innovative products and PVC roof restoration solutions that provide time tested performance over difficult roofing materials like the PVC roofing found on the Lottery building.” LaBruzzo also stated, “The California Lottery should expect to see energy savings related to the high reflectivity of the roof surface lowering air conditioning bills for years to come.”
This roofing project comes days before the new California Title 24 requirement for installing Cool Roofs which take effect on October 1, 2005. Title 24 will require the meeting of an energy budget in order to receive the building or roofing permit. Installing a Cool Roof offers the most accepted solution to meeting this new energy budget requirement.
This roof was installed by Madsen Roof Company of Sacramento, CA.
